Touching, like a velvet glove
whispering over satin skin,
sending shivers down the spine,
deeper into the recesses of
her inner self, allowing no
time to dwell she returns
the touch as light as a feather
dusting his face, tracing the contours
of the jawline and the strong
roman nose, breathing quickly,
he tries not to show the emotions
flying through his mind,
myriads of images flash
before him in his minds eye,
tall, sleek with fine features,
perfumed skin wafting towards
him, arousing him with
curiosity as to what colour blue eyes,
maybe cornflower or sky?
and hair yellow, could be straw or
Buttercup? hands that could so easily play the piano
but are traversing the plains of
his face, her gentle voice caresses
him, adding form to an
otherwise blind vision of love,
this gentle love that surrounds them
both as visions to each other.
Author notes
This was inspired by two friends of mine who are both blind.

nice job
This poem was wonderful, and your ability to let us see in the mind of these two blind lovers, was captivating. I truly loved this piece, in fact I felt it was too short lol I wanted to know so much more and read so much more. Nice job! -
Wow, this was intense and so beautiful. For one to be blind must be incredibly hard to bear, but this poem describes how love can traverse even the most difficult boundaries and still triumph-a masterpiece!
