All of A Sudden

We stand together
in this time of terror
but where were we
when this didn't happen

We needed a tragedy
like this to wake us up
all of a sudden
our country was attacked
and we rush to make it stop

All of a sudden
we come together
like never before
it took thousands of deaths
for us to come together
and see that our country
needed help

Right away
we've shown patriotism
with our flags
we've shown them that we are not scared

We won't let them
take our freedom away
we're to strong
and all of a sudden
they could be gone

They came after us
because we're free
they came after us
because we are wealthy
they came after us
because our way of life
isn't like theirs
they came after us
because we are American
they came after us
because we are independent
they came after us
because of our integrity
that they won't ever shatter
not now, not tomorrow,
not ever
