will you hug me, late at night?
Or, perhaps a dance, or Jig, my dove,
might just put on the light?
It's not ,that I'm afraid my self,
of Dragons, Ghosts or Elves;
But, my little baby brother,
cries and cuddles me, himself.
I'm very big and grown you know,
I'm nearly five next year;
But, if you don't put a light on, I
might just shed a tear.
My mum and dad, are sleeping now
and always, in the night,
there is this growl and snorting
sound ,that gives us, such a fright;
So please, I promise to be good,
and always say my prayers,
Can little Joe and me my dove,
come down, those creaky stairs?
We'll just creep down and stay a while;
And, maybe have some pears,
and then creep back, with teddy bear,
and sleep, like millionaires.
