The Blue Lagoon

My mind wanders to a blue lagoon,
in the south pacific ocean far away,
found on a deserted tropical island,
it's our paradise by the bay.

Warm water the color of turquoise,
the sun's rays shine down each day,
white sand stretched along the beach,
adorned with shells along the way.

Exotic flowers bloom in abundance,
their sweet fragrance fills the air,
luscious green vines climb the trees,
the islands beauty is beyond compare.

Tropical trees full of delicious fruit,
papayas and mango's tasting so sweet,
pineapples and milk from the coconuts,
quench your thirst from the tropic heat.

A water falls cascades into the blue lagoon,
water sparkles like rare gems in the sun,
glistening with specks of green and blue,
it shines in moonlight when day is done.

Being alone here with you darling,
I could not have asked for more,
our night here will be so special,
I've never been to paradise before.

    Superb, romantic; intriguing.

A very fine romantic write indeed. Imagery, rhythm and rhyme are fine.
