I stumbled on this while looking through a favorites list. I thought the poem was very interesting. I have my own limits to what I wish to see. I'm really sorry that you got so blasted on this. Would have thought you'd get a little more support.
I would like to know the art to which you refer, but I don't usually care to see it myself. I have learned to check the categories of the works before I click. I've had my eyes boiled a couple of times.
I support 100% your right to feel the way you do, and I guess everyone is entitled to their own feelings. Just check the categories and pray that they had the good sense to put them into categories. I personally do not prefer to read certain language, but they obviously have the right to their "artistic license." Good luck to you. You seem like a good person. Hugs, Patricia -
I guess I really don't know what to say about this one. I don't know what painting you are refering to, but I think that art comes in all forms, and we should appreciate the artist's accomplishments.

Well, when Jesus comes back to judge the 'blatant pornography' that is presented on this site, I'd like to ask him what he thinks of Pope Pius II 's erotic novella Historia de duobus amantibus...ooh, you didn't know about that one did you? Sorry. As for the poem, it really goes nowhere, (ironically the line about playing things off as art resonates most vividly). I normally wouldn't do this, but seeing as how you took such a condescending viewpoint to the rest of us sinners, i will. You have several grammatical mistakes, including misspellings of words such as 'ludicrous' and 'misled'. 'porn shop' is a non hyphenated two word phrase. The vocabulary was that of a middle school student at best, there is no flow whatsoever. The part I had the biggest problem is the part where you qualify yourself as a philosopher when you tell us we're being misled. You are you to be the moral police of allpoetry? If you have such a problem, go complain about it to a priest, just don't tell him that/if you have any sons. Think about it next time you decide that condescension is the greatest weapon in your poetic arsenal.

So, is the Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Cistine Chapel by Michelangelo "pornography"?? Or the statue of David, the nudes by Peter Paul Rubens, Titian, Gauguin etc. etc.?
I saw the painting you mention. There is nothing vile, gross or demeaning about it, nor is any implied in it. Interesting that the obvious (and intended) focus of the painting was the strangely vanishing face. But you chose to focus on the nudity of the subject. That says more about you than the painting, harry. Think about it.
I personally find any form of pornography objectionable, but I also know the difference between genuine art and pornography. I'm sorry you seem to have them confused.

lol... I agree with chasing hehe... if you think that a naked body is pornography tell that to God that brought adam and eve on earth NAKED!..though I don't believe in this story. I just think you don't know the difference between and sexually enticing picture and just a normal picture of a naked body...you musn't look at yourself naked very much lol! If you think that you're pornography in a mirror...than um, well I can't really see how you'll ever get pleasure out of life lol! Nice poem though

If I go to a beach, I see also lots of women sunbathing without top, I don't want to see their tits, but do I have to say then that isn't apropriate? I can not send them to a pornshop then...
If I see the cruel images of people getting decapitated over there in Irak, Then I judge those people for acting like animals and all those things related to being cruel... But hey, they haven't started the war over there... It's just a reaction they're giving now on a reaction...

Just want to say: Everyone has his own personality, and I think they must have the chance to grow in their personality...
