False

Playing to my false audience
I am a fool,
Wearing my false mask for disguise
Just to please you.

Having a false security
I am fearful.
Showing false outward happiness
I am tearful.

Living in my false truthfulness
I am a lie.
Hiding in protected false self
My soul will die.

Author notes

I was thinking about where my security lies and where it should lie when I wrote this.

YES!!! This is something that we all should read! Too many people are concerned with what others think about them that they stop being true to themselves. They lose who they are just to fit in and please others. Powerful words!!

Thanks there are people who know me. This is more about playing to a false audience and having security in that.
How did you find my poem I wonder. I just posted it and did not promote it.

    beautiful work
you shouldnt hide your true self to please others....
when it comes out, it shocks everyone.
Yesterday I told my mom about my labret piercing, she took it, um, ok, no car, ect ect ect, but my gramother FREAKED out.
so anyways, now that im nearly disowned, ill share my advice of not hiding yourself for anyoneeee.
