I thought that I could never be
All the things you wanted me to be
But one touch of this rose for you
Showed you what I wanted to do
I wanted to be your one reason
To forget all the hate and treason
So take this blue rose now, my love
And I'll show you all the stars above
My heart is craving for your heart
I knew you were mine, right from the start
But fear and sadness took over you
Made me wonder if we were truly through
But you smelled the rose once more
It stopped you from walking out the door
With me, you're starting over new
Because of this one rose of blue
You've found a reason to be
All the things you want to be
Now show me the blue rose, my love
So I can see all the stars above

This is a beautiful love poem. It's also unique, I've never heard mention of the blue rose, perhaps it is some personal symbolism. I like how you first give him the rose and show him the stars, then you ask him to do the same. Wonderfully written, best of luck in the contest
