Precious seconds ( Redone)

thy spirit touches
within that miracle of time
where moments smile
leaving on wondering
yet somehow satisfies
what is needed
those tender,
precious seconds
bold in the prime of life

delicate flowers
withstanding the storm
sweet moments in life
the charm of adolescence
giving us hope,
and surrendering peace
in a feeling so beautiful
precious seconds
lost in the tides of time

darkening clouds
heralding tense moments,
cower in caves,
then the sun breaks through
after a cleansing rain,
and all are healed in those
precious seconds
where doubt and fear collide

warm breezes
light winds
whispering within
cleansing the mind
rejuvenating the soul
a sign of peace
in a world of turmoil
precious seconds
rekindled in our dreams

Dreams of a world reborn lush and green
cleansing it to the way it was before
bringing life to a world in turmoil
precious seconds
for a second chance to heal.

Until one day,
they pile up like dusty news papers
in the chasms of our minds.
Only to be brought out and re-examined with awe,
and chin-lifting pride.
Moments that can be dusted of,
and polished up,
and make you blush,
in silent,
naughty,
joy.

So often these junctures pulsate
within rhythms of aspirations
...
desires residing
hidden inwardly to
     soul
  mind
       body
...the very essence of
      life

All the things you hold close to your heart
the things you cannot let go of
are weakening your stability
and arresting the precious seconds
you left dwindling,
remembering
underneath the maple tree
