Every single part of me
is written up in poetry
Each morning i wake to the sun's shining song-
rejoicing life and victories light has won
If you don't know of poetry
Then you don't know the beauty i see
I walk through life and hear the birds' song
I breathe the flowers verse as i walk along
And when I'm in my deepest pain,
as i stare, searching in the rain,
I write my poetry all day long
And look for the beauty in every song
I pray in verse, converse in rhyme
Although you may not know it all the time
I live for the beauty I know is in me
And express it through my poetry
And as I go to sleep each night
I dream in rhyme of you, my light
But if you don't care for poetry
Then you simply just don't care for me

I just wrote this 5 minutes ago because about 30 minutes ago, i was talking this guy, and i said a line from a poem i had just read here and he was like, "How many times do i have to tell you, i don't CARE for poetry!" And i was just speechless & taken aback in a sense...lets say he lost a lot of points in my book...haha. anyways, i wrote this being a good comeback to that line of his, but then again he wouldnt even take the time to read it. Oh well.

This was such a fun read. It flowed so well, the rhymes seemed to roll right out. The content was wonderful and so profound. This is a masterpiece. And, sometimes I feel this way. Just an excellent write and a brilliant work you have created!

I know the feeling. Poetry is the language my soul speaks so if someone does't care for it, we can't communicate properly or understand each other. I loved the passion and the words you used in this poem. It's a masterpiece. Keep writing, your poetry will touch more people than you know -

Okay, now that I've blown off some steam lol...
This is actually a piece that I find myself deeply connected to. I have a journal that I use to scribble down thoughts and ideas, and they always come out as poetic verses. So that proves that I am a walking, ever evolving piece of poetry! And anyone who cannot or refuses to see through your eyes is a moron (this is one of those times when AP needs a 'rolling eyes' emoticon) Anyway, I wouldn't be with a non-poetic soul anyway, because he would never understand why I think, say, believe or do the things that I do.

i love that first part... it shows the true you and how you feel... its very powerful...

I see you do have passion and desire in poetry never give that up for anybody. I know a few people here that thier significant others don't like poetry, and that is still ok with them. If you like him except him for his flawes (lol) can't and never will understand why someone would not like poetry. But oh well that is just me. I love this write, beautiful and its just perfect. Wish you the best with your love interest. -

Nice!! This is great. IT shows your love for poetry! I really like the last two lines in the first stanza. It says a lot. If it wasn't for poetry I wouldn't see lots of things the way I do now. It's crazy how emotions such as you have for that guy can bring out such great writing. Good job and keep it up!
