Music for the Swan(For Swaneewanda)

Silent sorrows of the soul.
Weeping inside, but nobody knows.
Angelic music to heal your heart broken,  is here with
Nourishing words tenderly spoken.
Effusion of your effulgent spirit
Echo's throughout for all who hear.  Sh!  Stay silent now!
Wait...for it's our turn to sing to you!
Aeolian harp!  Musical sound from it's wind blown strings.
Nearer to God will our blustering path bring.
Discord can always be turned to melody.  Listen to the
Aeolian strings, and soar with your wings as you sing!

Author notes

It wasn't meant to be, Swannee. I missed your contest deadline, but here is the poem(acrostic) that I wrote for you!
I am sorry it could not be included in the collection amongst the others.  And hey, no koolaid this time...just a little sweet wine...

I entitled this, Music FOR the Swan, but it is just as much music OF the Swan, as it echos her own own inner heart.

Nice job on this. Seems like a really good tribute. Good use of language. I think it may be spelled 'effusion' but you can check for yourself if you wish. It is an interesting word to use in that way, but I like your choice. Most of them are great choices. Good stuff.
    Peace,
    Lo

This is a lovely acrostic tribute to Swannee. I have only a slight knowledge of her, but you seem right on with your description.
I got here from clicking on your list in the features, but I couldn't see where to comment! I already commented on your inkblot contest, and I hope I didn't waste your points!!

What a lovely tribute. The Aeolian harp is a special favourite among romantic poetry's metaphors

Beautiful. I think is very encouraging. You capture what seems to be her heart and the heart of those who care about her.

Is this what one calls an acrostic? Oh yes, I see by your author comments. I like it. A little feathery perhaps, but I enjoyed your poem.

Very elegantly and beautifully written Duana. I agree...this could certainly be the music "OF as much as "FOR". You are a very gifted writer Duana and this is just one small taste of your talent. I love reading you. Geat job!

Isn't it simply ironic that the typo happened in melody, as the poem speak the sorrows helping to create the melody? Those good old Fruedian slips happen even in typos!

    Chocolate,

Think strings equal swannees heart, and the hearts of those at AP
    wind equals sorrows

The last part of the poem reflects the first(as an echo to her heart but coming from the beautiful music of those who supprot her).

Those are just hints, and I hope they help!
