I’m sure that you didn’t mean to
make your best friend cry.
And I guess that you don’t care if
you were making her heart little by little die.
I’m positive that you weren’t meaning
to tear her life apart.
Yeah you say you didn’t do it on purpose
But you did right from the start.
How can you look me in the eyes
and say the words “Best Friends”?
I guess that even a good thing
could come to an end.
And it did come to an end
and I can’t trust you anymore.
All the little things you said to bother me
those I just couldn’t ignore.
You tell me it won’t happen again,
But how can I know you are telling the truth.
Because before you said it would never happen
And it did,
this will be one friend
you will miss from your youth.
Now I’m not saying I’m going to ignore you,
I’m not saying I don’t care.
But everything that I ever feel again,
I don’t know if with you I will share.
Sure…I wish it could go back to how it was,
But I don’t think that will work.
Because you hurt me so much,
You were such a jerk.
So how could I go back
to how it used to be
and look you in the eyes
and say “best friends?”
When all I see in you now
Is someone who hurt me,
Made me cry,
Tore my heart,
Let it start to die.
