Meditation-1 (focus)

focus

come focus,

slow now, pause...

slow mind and thought

no, slower still

Till all is still

now, here, stillness and

no, quieter still, then...

Listen,

 there;

beyond

even this very thought.

    This was amazing- one of the most effective pieces I have come across. I like your choice of words, and the spacing arrangement. The poem creates the desired effect. Maybe I will finish the comment and hop back to the top again!
    Best regards,
    Saurabh.

    Now that is NICE. I feel very connected with this poem. Meditation is a subject I have rarely seen covered in art, which is too bad. I personally cannot meditate. My mind will not slow down, I have tried it all, but I can still relate to what I do know and that is the process of meditation you have so beautifully portrayed. Thank you for sharing you art work.

    wonderful

    interesting. a different feel for meditation. You took the pulse and breathing approach (in my mind cuz that's how it read..slowing down and all)

    I have a few poems on meditation, although they have a different approach and feel.

    if you would like to check it out it's called serenity and the other is roomfull of starlight

    lemme know what you think please!

    Thank you Raven for that thought evoking comment, and the applause, i appreciate it. Meditation is something i have been trying to get a hold of, learn and practice. The more do it, tho, the more it seems to get a hold of me. ~ricki

    let me disengage
    from this glass body
    that has held me too long

    and give me wings
    to soar to higher planes
    on the edges of infinity

    for this
    'letting go'
    of myself
    is the only way
    to find peace

    I love the way you have uncovered this thought, peeling each word away (like a a flower yet to bloom) until you reach the core of its meaning. Reading your meditations gave me the desire to disembody (as used in the words of the poem above). I took a snapshot of your piece while it was in motion, so I hope you didn't mind that much. Flawless as always, and I shall add my applause.

    Too bad for everyone else that I've run out already!

    Many blessings,

    Raven Aurora

    Beautiful

    Disembodied thought floating like Lotus blossoms within and without the stillness of our mind, as in a pond. You can reach out and touch it. A poem in thought.
