Rose

ROSE

Rose, Rose of Texas
Spread your angel wings
For you found your true love
And the happiness it brings

Your scent wafts so sweet
You’re oft kissed by a honey bee
And your colorful beauty
Is flaunted for the world to see

Texas has fields of roses
Yet no two are the same
So you are Rose, Rose of Texas
For God gave you that name

I see, as I look on from afar
Your devotion for your man
And I try not to show envy
Pretending to understand

Admiring you from afar
I dare not ask for a kiss
So I thank the Lord above
For your life of wedded bliss

A rose by any other name…
But that is just a cliché
Rose, Rose of Texas
You’re my perfect bouquet.

I'm touched deeply Jean. You have a way with words. No words can describe what I feel. Thank you so much. God bless you

Awe! This brought a tear to my eye. You certainly endure, don't you? More than I would ever wish upon you. Ever! Bless your heart! Just know you are loved, and roses abound, in places we've yet to see . . . Be blessed! I love you!--Kel

    Beautiful

Jean this is beautiful, I love it and I'm sure she will too.
You sure have a talent for writing about anything under the sun and making it so spectacular. It's been a while since i've commented to your poems, I've been a bit under the weather and will be seeing a doctor again tomorrow. I hope that you are doing much better. Keep on writing those beautiful poems. Loveya, Avril
