    It's very healthy Myron.... I took the photo when it is slightly passed its full bloom. It's one of over fifty blooming plants I have on my property.

    thanks Amanda... yep, the camera body alone is fifteen hundred... then the lenses!!!! up to twelve hundred each. It's so much fun to use.... and combine with my haiku.

    yep... Serenem... search haiga on the internet. There is a lot of info on the art form. Originally, they were paintings with the poems (haiku) But, today even photography comes into play creating these little gems.

    Hmmmmm. A haiga? That's a new one on me, but I love the idea; it seems a natural. I'd love to combine one of my haiku with a painting I've done. Exciting stuff!

    nice words. you must have a great zoom on your camera to capture this guy so close!
    i like those purple flowers.. i don't remember them smelling all that lovely tho. they make for good contrast with the butterfly, all dark and sharply in focus.

    Photoku, LOL you coined this phrase, I assume? This was a very beautiful picture, did you take it? I think the short poem in it is very fitting too. Sunrise represents happiness, and friends provide sunshine in your life. Beautiful work
