I'm Yours

Thank you my Lord and Savior,
for opening up your door.
You opened it to a stranger,
I had never knocked before.

Lord I was really scared,
but I listened for your call.
I knew by the look in your eyes,
this time I would not fall.,

When the door blew open,
you invited me right in.
You told me in a gentle voice,
now your new life will begin.

There will be many wonders,
some you can not yet see.
I've given you some already,
others are yet to be.

I pray to you with all my heart,
you've filled it with such love.
I now have a brand new family,
and a place in Heaven above.

Lord it took so long to find you,
I was lost for such a long time.
Do with me what you want,
here's my heart, my soul and my mind.

A delightful write; to know that we are His is such a joy and comfort; nicely done. Perhaps you would enjoy my poem called "Petitions to God". --Joe

Ah, Thank you so much for reading one of my older poems, one of the first spiritual poems I ever wrote. I was saved on July 16 and wrote this a few days later. God just poured out unto the screen as I typed. Thank you for always reading my poems. God Bless you. Take , Sandy
