The song of laughter
Livens happy spirits of all
clown himself unmoved

mmm, I like it. I'm a circus performer myself, and I've found that often I (and others) go into the ring unhappy, and that even when the clowns are sad they can still make people laugh.

I think, in response to Red, that clowns life in a different world from regular people, and in that world, things are much harder to do. This makes us see them as being stupid, and since society says we shouldn't laugh at people's misfortune, the over-the-top helplessness of clowns is a perfect way to get around the boundaries of society.

Did that make sense? I'm kind of tired...

I've thought about a clown being unmoved By smiles. but now that you have brought it to the forefront of my mind. they can be sad and it is their saddness showing us that there is someone even more unhappy therby making us happy? Is this what you are showing me? Red

Wow, I really like this. Was this for the Haiku Class? Just wondering because it reminds me of that haiku we were supposed to edit.

I like this. The last line really says a lot about this. It's very interesting and I do love how so little speaks so loud
