Spirit of the night
From whence do you come
You’re just out of sight
Yet often seen by some
Spirit of the night
Do you mean harm to me
Are you the fright
That we suppose you to be
Spirit of the night
Among the shadows you dance
Just out of the light
Causing shivers at every glance
Spirit of the night
Lovers lane is an eerie place
If the moon’s not bright
Enough to see your face
Spirit of the night
Do you wish to do us harm
Are you wet from the bight
And does that add to your charm
Spirit of the night
Where are you during the day
Your charm is quite
Enticing in some odd way.
