Existence

Experiencing hunger, pain & brutality
A man fated to give everything in a bloody sacrifice
Every possession lost
Every value destroyed
Deprived of everything except a ridiculously naked existence
An anguish deeper than death
A life too deep for deception
Silence so intense that it hurts the ears
First, comes a cold detached curiosity concerning one’s fate
Then, come strategies to preserve the remnants of one’s life
Though the sky tends to scroll in blood
mocking at the least chances of being alive
Slowly, comes to rescue
Human endurance
Opening vistas of hope &
Healing for the souls in despair
Hunger, humiliation, deep anger at injustice
All are rendered tolerable-
By closely guarded images
Of Beloved persons,
By religion,
By grim sense of humor,
Even by healing beauties of nature-
A tree or a sunset
Somewhere, from the realms of slumber
Comes a resurrected soul from its tomb,
A watery sun shining through rain clouds
Light that is reborn within the source of light.

get light in our eye through it.

Existence by Apurva is a sweet poem where the present moment shows, actually, we all are in the state as the poeteess Apurva mentioned in her poem, but she has finished it with the light which we should perceive all the time.

"A watery sun shining through rain clouds" is a great line! Very nice imagery, and I like the "rebirth" at the end, after all of the doubts and pain before it. Thanks for the wonderful entry!
