Bipolar or hey someting shiny!

I'm sitting here
trying to think things out
I'm wondering what I'm all about
Sometimes I feel really happy
Sometimes I feel you
then you slap me and I forget what I was doing

I'm laying down now
fidgeting tinkering blinking
scribbling on the walls
licking random things
trying to sing things out
sometimes I feel angry
and want to rip this apart
but then I try and realize my human hands
can't break steal - but this hammer will do!

I want to scratch I want to fly
but the vet told me to wear plastic around my neck
and I've been stuck in my bedroom doorway for days

HaPpY sAd aNgRy DySlExIc PeTuRbEd dIsTrAcTeD
another major swing - hey something shiny!
or it's just my ADHD playing games with me
in my happy hallucination
which seems disturbingly real...
I think it just might be PMS:
PSYCHODIC MOOD SWINGS

and it's time to up my meds... tralalala

Author notes

I'm not really bipolar but i am ADHD...who'd have thought hahaha....

this was originally written in a contest talking about conditions and such...so I researched it a tad and did some questioning, as i know some bipolar people

Hi. This poem really put a smile on my face. My sister suffered from ADHD when we were younger. My current BF has ADHD and I know alot of people who are Bipolar or have ADD or ADHD. I also know alot of ignorantpeople who make fun adn don't understand. Anyways, I really liked this poem, it had great flow and it seemed to have pleased many people. Great write my dear,
    Cassie

This is so unblieveablly funny. I can't tell whether you are a dog (with the plastic colar) or a child who is wearing one for some unknown reason! I like shiny things and almost anytime I see something out of the corner of my eye it distracts me! Plus it doesn't really help that I am very easily amused! Good luck and keep writing!

This was intriguing. I have a brother that is ADHD and relos that are bipolar so reading it was like looking at the two of em stand side by side. Easy distractions and such made it interesting to move from one thing to the next rather quickly and not be put off the piece as it is meant to be that way
    well done

well you know psychotics and the rest make best comedians. I laugh so much and somehow it does make things lighter, could it be that they are also extremely gifted people. I really feel apart from being very sensitive people they are deep often see beyond what average person does not. Enjoyed your poem, thank you for making me laugh. cake

dude...just never take serroquel, that shit fucked up up big time because i took lie 300 miligrams of it and now i still get flash backs...are you seriously bipolar? because thats awesome this poem is awesome too

I want to scratch I want to fly
but the vet told me to wear this plastic around my neck
and I've been stuck in my bedroom doorway for days

i loved that line. its so increadibly random yet it fits perfectly. thats what my friends love about me is how random i can be. i dont have a lot of friends and mostly ever one else hates me but the people im close with are bipolar too because if they werent they would never understand my crazy mood swings where my hair scares me. lol

thanks for entering, i really enjoyed this *bookmarks* and good luck!
