10 - The Wheel

~Change of fortune~

The claws of a dragon
    hold open ancient pages.
All life turns and returns in patterns;
read the advice from the sages.

Learn to ride with the dragons
as the wheel of all life turns,
Repeating energy patterns of Karma
    as the truth-seeking reader learns.
~ ~ ~
Luck and Fate are on the wheel
and your turn has come to shine.
If you’ve prepared, then forward you go,
if not there’s no use to whine.
It is time to make some changes
if things aren’t going your way.
Make breaks with all your stumbling blocks
so tomorrow may be a brighter day.

Author notes

I wrote this series last summer and began posting them. I took the prose version of the Celtic Dragon Tarot interpretations and put it in verse form. I'd also included the illustrations, but was asked to remove it because of the copyright infringement. I'd given full credit to Conway and Hunt and didn't claim them for my own, but there were apparently other legalities.
So...for the legal beagles out there.... These are MY words, although they were inspired by Conway.

more to come....

My wheels are turning..thinking about life's cycles and how everything keeps changing. To a great extent, our fate is determined by choices we make along the way. When we get in a rut, sometimes we need some help to get moving again.

Enjoyed your poem about this card. I've enjoyed reading all of them.
