HOME AT LAST
Thank you God for saving me
Thank you God you set me free
You gave your son so I could live
My heart and soul to you I give
All day long I've felt brand new
Since I gave my sins to you
I love you my God, help me be
A good Christian to serve thee
Now I have felt your loving touch
My heart is happy, I love you so much
I never felt this kind of love before
It consumed me since I opened your door
It was wondrous to pray with my friend
You put us together, so hearts could mend
Thank you God for this brand new heart
Not one moment shall we be apart
I'm not good at saying the way I feel
But in my poetry my feelings are so real
My poetry has been a gift from you
Lord I write this poem to say thank you

My poetry has been a gift from you,
so Lord I write this poem to say thank you.
I love the idea here...the words being "a gift", the poetry being a vehicle for this...
what I mean is, this poem just shines...it's inspirational, it's brave, it's honest. full of faith, full of power. it's clear that you genuinely BELIEVE in everything that you're saying, and i think that that's the most important thing that the poet needs to do when writing a poem. Having that conviction. That's what makes writing literature and creating art so empowering. Thank you very much for entering my contest.

That's awesome! You are glorifying Our Lord through your poetry and giving it all to Him. That's AWESOME. Thanks so much for sharing! THanks for entering and good luck!

And there's not one thing of all evil forces and all of Satan's devils or Hell's angels or even Satan himself can do to drown out a single word. There's not one thing Satan can do about your salvation. No man can take away God's love for you and no evil. How glorious. Praise God. Thank's to Jesus. Halleleua. I can see you hit home. You will always be with us in our hearts Sandy. Beautiful poem!
