I am nominating Stubborn Pride by Live4eternity for the all poets oscar because
I feel so good today, it has been so long,
life felt right for me and not all wrong.
A peaceful calm is now within my soul,
my broken life is now almost whole.
This is the first day of the rest of my life,
made it through the abuse and strife.
God is watching me, taking it slow,
He knows I am ready and loves me so.
Will I know when God enters my heart,
no longer fight it and allow it to start.
I almost feel how wonderful it will be.
my friend tells me when he talks to me.
If not for his kindness and words he speaks,
would not want God, I would still be weak.
I cannot write for I cry with this poem,
Thank you my friend, I can not do it alone.

I met a wonderful poet when I joined AP. I was a non believer all my life. Then I read a poem called. "Stubborn Pride" br Jason (livef4eternity)http://allpoetry.com/poem/707239
I wrote this poem to thank him. This poem was written the night I was saved. July 16, 2004 It is the one thing I am most thankful for. Thank you Dear Lord for loving me and changing my life. Thank you Jason (live4eternity) for leading me to the Lord.

Oh yeah, it is also awesom knowing that you just layed ALL your bourdons down, At the moment you give your life to HIM, He takes your bourdons away from you. They were His in the first place, remember, He died for them!!!!! How awesome is that?? You can do it Sandra, I Know It.

Yes, yes, yes... So true, that we can't do it alone! You just made a huge step of being humble, in being still and knowing that God is God. Some poeple feel an awesome explosion of emotion when they are saved. Some feel plain happiness. Some cry. Some laugh. Some smile, well, just about everyone smiles
But.. salvation is a fact, not a feeling! It is just a great feeling for yourself that you can finnaly admitted that you can't do it alone that you need Jesus, like you always have! It's like a light bulb.. when it goes out, you replace it. It didn't "feel" different, yet you Know that it is fixed. Some people experience great things, I know that you will eventually. If not when you say that awesome prayer, it will happen sooner or later. You will feel God's awesome presents. It will happen! The enemy, Satan, wants you to think that if you don't "feel" anything, that you aren't really saved. THAT'S COMPLETELY WRONG! Don't listen to those thoughts Satan tries to implant in you! All you have to do is say the prayer. If you want someone to pray with you when this happens to help you incase you may not feel totaly confident or assured, please call me.
