Growing Old

I recall the days of 11 years old.
The carefree games, Every happy day.
Just watching my life unfold,
Knowing everything would turn out okay.

I recall the days of twenty two,
the drinking games, the girl friends,
just overwhelmed with things to do,
blazing my own path, making my own ends.

I recall the days of thirty six,
the kiddie games, with my child and wife.
Helping the kid to get his kicks,
responsibility just rules this life.

Now at the age of sixty seven,
I think back to that yesteryear,
eleven though, it was my heaven,
No time better then that I fear.
