My eyes close and the war begins
Between myself and the others
Whoever the others are, that's for me to know
Cos I can't say for fear of rejection
But that's me to a T really
Always having a fear
No matter what it is, it consumes me
The brokenness within me
Surfaces when I am near you
As you dig deep into my shell
I try to run and hide
But you find me again
And I cry "please, my wings, fly me away"
But you hold me, comfort me
Tell me it's what you're there to do
And I calm
You take away my fear
Though replacing it with another

that was so sweet. Good write, I could feel the pain then the happiness... I could just imagine someone say "please, my wings, fly me away" hm...I could picture the whole scene. I liked it.
