Your lips are like sweet cherries
to taste the juice is pure nectar to me.
Once our lips meet never do they part

To enjoy the thrill that we feel
Lost I become when lips are touching
Pure rapture courses through my veins.

To know the joy of our sweet kisses

Kiss can be a cherry and only you could come up with such a fruity offering or should I say fruitful offering,...the cherry has to be seedless..or tongues are the seeds out here..hahaha..a lovely loveable lovelasting tribute to man's first act ..Shubs

Nice and sweet poetry
A beautiful poem. To feel a kiss from afar is to be connected in such a special way. A kiss is the extension of ones soul. It has the unique ability to embrace another soul that mean so much to them. It can make your heart speed up and pound with the force of a thousand horses or it can fill heart up with love and joy. A kiss can also take away the pain and make everything seem alright. You have how a kiss may taste and how special it really is.

I love the comparison of lips to cherries, it is so simplistic yet so beautiful that it really makes you smile. I think you have a fabulous use of words and form and this piece really stands out a light in the dark. enuff has been said about the cherry bit i think. wat really struck me about ur poem is the long-distance relationship theme. distance does makes the heart grow fonder. i know exactly how you feel here. made a friend online, miles away from each other, but our souls connected. sweet pain. misery. we kissed a thousand times, but never did kiss . . . *sigh* great write jenni. thanks for putting words to those feelings.

This was extremly well written...it is true when you kiss that certian someone it just seems like your blood stops flowing, like time freezes, and i think that the liging you up to heaven part come from your blood when it stops flowing you get light headed n feel like you are floating...but yea......i loveeeee kisses when i get them!!! yummmmm sweet and perfect like cherries...lol well great write n everone who has ever had one of these special moments can relate~
