Lonely


~I'm basing this poem off of my favorite quote which is: "Sometimes people want to be alone, but never do they want to be lonely" This quote really speaks to me and I just wanted to try something different. Enjoy~


Sometimes I want to be alone
Like when things are hard to take
I like to deal with things on my own
But people think that that's a mistake

They get the wrong impression
And some of the leave my side
But that's not what I wanted at all
I never wanted them to hide

So here I am being lonely
Exactly where I didn't want to be
No one ever wants to be lonely
There is a difference! Don't you see?

When I WANT to be alone
I don't need to be consoled
I just need my time and space
So now you have been told

I appreciate the effort
And the fact that you care
So please don't let me be only
Cause truth: I need someone there

I wanted to try basing a poem off of a quote... it didn't work so well but that's ok cause I tried! Tell me what you think

    excellent

    Not everyone sees that difference between solitude and isolation. For many of them, they're both the same. People who can't stand being on their own won't understand. For them solitude is a bad thing. But isn't it where thoughts come from?

    oh my gosh i totally agree with that!!!!!!!!!!! doesn't it suck when people don't understand that you wanna be alone to sort things out yaself? i had one of those moments yesterday and i couple of my friends wouldn't leave me so i just ran off! some people just don't understand that there is a difference between being alone and being lonely! life would be easier if they did!!! anyways great write!!!!

    Oh this is good! It does go well with the quote. It's so true too! No one every wants to be lonely, maybe alone for a moment to have some peace, but not to be lonely.

    I thought this was very good and that it goes great with the quote. I know exactly how it feels to be lonely when you just wanted to be alone.... Well, good write. God bless.
