Funeral

sitting in the dark
afraid to stand
but tired of waiting
tortured by the pain inside

wanting to cry ,
too afraid to show
weakness
u miss them

a year goes by
you start to forget them
u cry yourself to sleep
trying to remember

the pain settles
as the years pass
only because
you start to forget

one dead then another
to many to die
smiles turn to
tears
and my life
sits in
fear
