7 - The Chariot

--Maintaining balanced control--

Two dragons stand together
    holding a crystal ball
Their positive and negative forces flow
    creating balance for us all.

High upon the mountain top
by the gateway to the sphere
The spiritual side awaits you
if the goals you seek are clear.
~ ~ ~
Balance of the elements
    keeps you in control.
Success comes if you’re centered
and keeping oneness with the Whole.
Opposing sides will pull you
    from your intended course,
So set your sights and aim your path
toward goals you reach by force.

Author notes

I wrote this series last summer and began posting them. I took the prose version of the Celtic Dragon Tarot interpretations and put it in verse form. I'd also included the illustrations, but was asked to remove it because of the copyright infringement. I'd given full credit to Conway and Hunt and didn't claim them for my own, but there were apparently other legalities.
So...for the legal beagles out there.... These are MY words, although they were inspired by Conway.

more to come....

Very important to keep one's balance when positive and negative forces keep pulling us in each direction.

Words of wisdom in this poem (this card is another one I would be pleased to see if I had a reading).

starharbor ...Yes...you are right. I think I remember a loop-hole....where I could copy the picture of the deck and a link to where they could be bought...also something about that being acceptable,...but at the time, it just wrankled my spirit, and I folded. ...thus...the snippy comment about these being my own words. I dearly love this deck of cards. ...I have found them to be so helpful to me, but if Conway and Hunt want to promote their work, THEY can do their own advertising! she said as she sulks in the corner!
Thank you so much for your comments.

This is a great way to study tarot, and your meter and rhyme aid memory and are consistent with a crystaline image.
Not sure if you wanted to break meter with "and keep a oneness with the Whole" when "keeping oneness with the whole" scans. Breaking meter at that point doesn't seem to add anything to me. Great idea, thanks for posting,
    Brian

    Good!

I like this... a very (tee hee) balanced presentation. I understand the copyright objections, but it would be nice if there was a way to reference the images, anyway. Or failing that, maybe you could link to a place to buy the particular tarot deck, in your description of the list? An extra way of giving credit while credit is due, while also giving people a way to find a sample of the inspirational artwork.
