soul

A soul is like a falling star
A fragment of the cosmos
Soul resides in all living things
For all that lives is real and true
A soul is the gift of hope
Transcending our earthly body
Soul is the eternal heartbeat
Of the divine mother
Bestowed upon those that are separate
But still touch upon
What can not be seen but felt …
Is also soul
Deep longing
Peace
And love
All within
Spiralling out
From the great mystery
To which we are all bound
Is soul

    the third line impressed me and is my 'pet' line of the this wonderful write. some people believe that only humans have souls. i agree with your statement that every living creature consists of body and soul. thats just my belief i know but you have expressed it in this piece and i could very much appreciate the concept. again, wonderful write.
