The Investment Theory, AKA Myopia

Missing image

Visitation
Parousia
Men of Lawlessness
Come hither, gather round!

Divine fire in the guts
Produce me a ‘Presence’
An ‘Arrival’, like
A Little Apocalypse

Sudden and surprising
Imperiling skepticism
Engaging
A garden of values written by Eve-ning

Woe!  Woe to ‘The Tragedy of Maturity’
LISTEN!
(But Sir!  The indicator is indifferent!  What do we do?) Ignore it…“You cannot call yellow ‘gold’, young man.”

“You must educe relations and correlates from mere weeds”
“But these dandelions are my friends”, said ET
“Golden ingots emergent from heaven beneath.
And as for me, their loyal subject,
I must not fail them, for I love Eve.”

Author notes

Just my way of complaining about people who try to force
me to see it their way, when I don't try to force THEM to experience life from the outside-in.

    AWESOME

yeah this one is really good, i think that it has to do with a certin experience that you went through, and its you kind of talking to your irrelivant, yet relevant conscience that you have fabricated for your self... if you get what i mean?! LOL
i wish you were my fucking teacher, you are so knoledgeable and wise if do say so myself!

I found this( on first read ) quite amusing Tim. ( Not sure if if this was intended )! Its probably because of the sarcasm which is quite explicit.

I suppose we are all stricken with myopia at times - its part of the human condition. Lacking insight and foresight and even hindsight! This is quite caustic and delivered with a fair old sting. Suppose it all equates to respect and acceptance of others.

Anyway - you tell em !! Enjoyed this , as always

Wonderfully written allegory my friend. I wrote one titled 'The Scarlet Bird'
    Fascinating abstraction.

some people will always be straight sighted, some people (like us) like to look around walls, and corners, and to peep into windows.

people who push you to do/see something you dont want to, aren't really worth it, it's not fair of them, to ask you to live up to the way they think you should live.
live for you and only you.

    always good my sweet!

yep...myopia is running rampant these days
grab your own set of glasses, and see the world through your own filters...it's the only way to go.

this one is a keeper...bookmarking another of your poems for re-reading (especially if i catch myself being narrow minded).
