Land of Izzy Gizza

Missing image
In Izzy Gizza -
a land far away,
lived two folks different as night is to day.

'Chickets' loved kisses
and 'Giggets' liked bugs
for they gave out piggles
instead of nice hugs.
(Piggles are no good to give anyone
They’re scratchy and itchy and aren’t any fun.)
.
Chickets liked peace,
playing games and some prayer,
but when there was praise time,
                    the Giggets weren’t there.
Instead they would bippet and chibbet the street
with guns full of ketchup and stink from their feet.
While Chickets tried hard to make others grin
Ol’ Giggets made faces as ugly as sin.

They hated their brothers
and rolled with the hogs,
they praggled the Chickets
                    and sweet puppy dogs

No matter how good the Chickets would play,
the Giggets would yell and scream them away
They stole from the Chickets
                  and never gave back
their proggles and cakelets and prized Cracker-Jack.

Then came the Chondo one night very late
and sought out the Giggets
              to set them all straight.
He caused a big sweet-storm that rained candy tears
got rid of their piggles, their foggets and jeers.
He punished those Giggets, for all of their foes
with gookey molasses all over their toes.

Giggets weren’t sorry and never confessed
              so then in the end, his Chickets were blessed;
Not for their snuggles or hugga-boo care
But 'cause they believed that
He’d do it

......so THERE!

This was great fun to read. You goofed around, played with words, made some up and still told a meaningful story. Wonderful!

Seuss must've poured out all over me in this one. For such a heavy subject as salvation, it seemed quite an annointing to explain it away.....I'm so glad you noticed besides me!!! Thank you, stephanie..../// THANKS ALL!! I write Children's Stories, etc, and thought you might like it...!

very nicely crafted in staggering design, cookie.
quite... playful in a seuss-ish way.
    i'm not feeling qualified to comment beyond what i've said;
    but...
i'm quite sure the children would enjoy this to no end.
i loved the wordplay and silliness and such.
