's she has been more of a mom than my real mom and for that I will always give her so much love If this poem has song lines in it I had it in another contest that had in the rules it had too but I only used a few and in that contest I did not win so i thought this would be good in this

Just Beautiful!
The song these lines came from is one of my all time favorite songs!! Just absolutely stunning! And to incorporate it into a poem to someone whom you feel to be "the wind beneath your wings" is a truly inspired idea! As always, you've done a simply incredible job of expressing your love for one who holds a special place in your heart! Every line is so heartfelt, and touching. This is just beautiful!

a few things:
1) "You were content to let me shine, that's your way,
you always walked a step behind."
Earlier you stated, "one step ahead at times at times you let me lead" so the above is a contridiction.
2) "Like and unseen hand you push me in the right direction
always there even if you could not be seen"
You already established that she guided you with an unseen hand, and then you said she's always there even if unseen.
I'd change that, it just sounds like your restating what you just said.
Other than that, I think its a really great piece. You showed great love for this person, that you respect enough to consider her a mom of sorts! Very sweet! Beautifully put together poem hun!
