Heaven's Control Room

The sun is not as bright at 5 AM
as it was a few days ago, indicating
that the Earth has successfully passed
through the Summer Solstice.

I can imagine the Angels standing, cheering,
slapping each other happily on the back; the
trajectory of the Earth’s course around the Sun,
brightly displayed on the giant screen at the front.

The celebration ends momentarily,
when a pleasant but firm voice announces,
“Okay, everyone let’s try to focus, stay on schedule
and bring that beautiful, blue ball back home.”

OOooOOooO I liked this... in my travels of random crappy poems it interests me... the imagery of the earth as merely a "beautiful, blue ball" and the references to the solstice [ always nice] The bit about the angels also interested me... you are either very very complex or childishly simple...

I could imagine this as quite a possibility too, we never know these things, yet the heart and inspiration within allows us to paint some awesome images with words alone. Would be some thing to see too.
