A Soldiers Salute

Missing image
On the Fourth of July,
the first thing you do,
salute our great flag,
it's waving to you.

Salute it with pride,
as it flies in the sky,
Old Glory's our symbol,
"Live free or die".

Salute our brave soldiers,
fighting a war in Iraq,
especially the soldiers.
who may not come back.

They're fighting for freedom,
far from their homes.
as soldiers fought here,
when the buffalo roamed.

They live and die for freedom,
they fought so many years,
salute the wives and mothers,
they've shed a million tears.

Salute our flag this special day,
it waves in blue skies and in rain,
give thanks to all our soldiers,
let them know, they didn't die in vain.

 GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY

Author notes

Write an email or mail a letter to a soldier at home or over
seas. That's the least we can do for all that they sacrifice. God bless the American troops.

    This is excellent. You have done that one thing that i wanted to see done in this contest. YOu told the soldiers how much you respect them and what they are doing. This is not a contest for me, but the our troops. Thanks for entering my contest and the best of luck to you in the contest
