Light Within

1.)
Hidden secrecies,
fall amongst tear dropped cheeks.
Where the breath lies,
and the sorrows weep,
and beliefs fade,
as emotions stir.
Where does your heart remain?

2.)
Shadows fall, darkness creeps.
Crows mock, people weep.
People die, blood spills.
Cuts and burns, love kills.
Bleeding tears, helpless cries.
Endless years, sorrowful eyes.
In this world, my heart remains…

3.)
Ah, but, wait,
a beating heart.
The raven is smart,
put down the razor, love heals.
Refrain the mocking,
bloodless tears, joyful cries.

The hands of time holding life,
amongst all the strife.
One can still beat the odds,
if it's caught before too late.

4.)
A broken beating heart,
sorrow never to part.
A gun to my head,
wishing I where dead.

The hands of time holding my life,
the other hand of mine, holding the knife.
The little rope we call hope,
tattered to shreds.
Taking too many pills, too many meds.

Time went by,
still to never hear the helpless cry.
The girl weeping in the park,
the girl’s soul embedded by the dark.
Ask me where my heart remains,
show me the hope that gains.
A heart with every beat breaks some more,
and I will show you the hopelessness, that rests inside my core.

5.)
Oh, but, look,
the light is piercing.
It reflects that glimmer,
that grace and hope.

As destruction slips,
from my fingers.
I'm letting go,
my eyes brighter.

To the sound of bluebirds,
and a laughter I've never recognized,
till my soul awakened...

6.)
Awakened through the eyes of another world,
one of that my heart douth never known.
Through that dark, the light now shown,
the pieces gathered of this broken heart.
Put back together so they won’t fall apart,
she awakened again, and found to be a dream.
She realized that things aren’t the way they seem,
though the flicker of hope, that rests inside.
Deep deep down, sorrow still hides,
all she can do, is hold on to that piercing little light.
And watch away, as the bluebirds take flight,
listen to, the laughter she never knew.
But she will still always remain the slave to sadness, hiding her broken heart too;

7.)
that breaks each passing day,
and in the night, the stars providing light,
the light she never knew,
but, always wanted to know.

Yeah, this is very good. I'm glad that I worked with you on this poem. I'll be editing the poem on my page in the form and possible spelling to perfect it. I'll let you know when it's finished. Like it is though, I think we did a perfect job.

    Splendid!

awwwww.....the poem started off sad and hopeless but later it recovered and became hopeful. The choice of words and the images are simply amazing and they give the poem so much life! I'm just outta words, the main things that I love about this poem is just the wording and the imaging, very good write!! (^_^)
