Look at her...why does she put herself down?
She's so beautiful, the guys are crazy for her.
Her emotion when it's just her and I, reflect that of a frown,
and she sees her life through tears in a blur.
Great body, pretty face, cheerleader...what does she have to lose?
Her boyfriend of a year is what...she derves much more.
She has so many friends, she doesn't even have to choose.
Even though jealous girls call her a whore.
Very athletic, volleyball, cheerleading, and track.
She sings in choir, amazing voice,
If someone were to deny that, she'd be taken aback.
Making straight A's, that's not her parent's decision, but her own choice.
But her life at home isn't all that great.
So when she gets upset, she grabs the knife.
It's some personality kink, a weird trait.
She likes to cut her arm, but she doesn't take her life.
She's addicted to cutting when things get bad,
but she goes to church, she wants to be for God.
People sometimes don't understand her...that's sad.
People that don't get her just think she's odd.
But she's my best friend, and that's that.
I know the real her, and she's a wonderful girl!
She does what she does, and none of it's an act.
My best friend, my precious pearl.

Well written piece. Good descriptions. It's amazing how we sometimes THINK others see us when we have no way of really knowing. Good luck in the contest.
