When I was a young girl
my mother said to me
throughout your life
you need three special keys
The first is for knowledge
so do your very best
soon you'll open the door
with the key to success
The key to happiness
is for family and home
and to open your heart
to a child of your own
The last key you'll need
is for when life is done
it opens the door to
Gods Kingdom above
Before I use my last key
I'll hold my loved ones near
the story of the special keys
I will whisper in their ear

This is beautiful and I dunno how I missed this..a solution to life a resolution for eternity..with continuity built in with the baton passed lovingly to the generations to follow..and this poem evokes compassion..Shubs

That's really neat! I like how you made this a simple poem and that you are going to pass on this little secret! How cute!
