Hop-hop, hip-hop, hoppity hop --
as he prances through the lawn.
To the rhythm do his ears flop,
and wiggle, wiggle goes his tail.
So soft his fur be, a bleached cloud:
a puff behind his ears, a tuft on his rump,
because anything less would be disallowed!
He munches quietly on the new spring grass,
their tender, sweet shoots once intertwined.
And when he hops playfully away,
lie handful of dark treasures -- left behind.
A human approaches -- and what's this?
Thrust in front is a handful of candied honeys.
The rabbit refuses, though already caught.
Offer she does again: because Kiki loves hoppity bunnies!
Author notes
Kiki loves hoppy bunnies! Haha, although I know this piece did not have to be about rabbits, I thought the theme was cute so I went along with it. I wrote this within ten minutes, and I hope it makes you laugh.

Well done! A pleasure to read!
Congratulations, Alise! I enjoyed your poem!
My nickname is Bunny so this contest was appealing to me, too! I enjoyed the comment you made on my poem. I also enjoyed reading your comments on your author's page. May you will always be as 'hoppy' as you are now!
