Would you believe
that agent 86
Maxwell Smart
is the single greatest threat to KAOS?
NO...?
well, how about the second single greatest threat?
How about the most irritating agent in CONTROL?
With a phone in his shoe and a pen that squirts acid,
with a manly voice and a handshake never flaccid,
Maxwell Smart, agent 86
is here to give KAOS a good swift kick.
With agent 99, the woman of his dreams.
He is here to stop crime, while the Chief screams!
He's a one-man army with a few deserters!
His informant, Larraby, hiding in the frankfurters.
In the cones of silence, he discusses his plans,
To fight the evil KAOS, for the benefit of man.
Down in the phone booth, to CONTROL Central he goes,
that is, if the last door doesn't close on his nose!

LOL, I'm at a disadvantage being too young to have seen Mission Impossible. I read it to my husband (13 years my elder) and he had a good laugh over it. I liked the different formats contrasting the first and last part and I loved the acid/flaccid rhyme. Still quite a bit of humor was lost in not being familiar with the show I'm sure.

The genius of Don Adams brought Maxwell Smart to life and has been imitated but not yet matched. I would say his bumbling idiot personna was the greatest threat to CONTROL. I LOVE this piece Tahuti too bad you didn't win
