Independence Day is coming,
the celebration will start soon,
many homes have decorated,
with red white and blue ballons.
There will be hometown parades,
family picnics and such,
thoughts and prayers for our soldiers,
add that special touch.
As rockets burst with bright color
with a loud explosive sound,
be thankful it's only fireworks,
falling slowly to the ground.
When you hear "God Bless America",
as the high school band goes by,
pause a moment,be proud,
Old Glory is waving high.
Remember all our brave soldiers,
defending all our rights,
to enjoy our country's freedom,
on this special July night.
GOD BLESS OUR SOLDIERS

This poem is for my grandson who is in the National Guards and all our brave men and women in the military,who will not be home this July 4th. Thanks to all of you.
