I have a love for my mother
That no one can take.
She is the one who comes to my rescue
When I have no clean socks.
She is the one who wants me to talk with her,
And I know that I can trust her.
She is the one who wants me to be happy
Even when I am a jerk.
She cares even when I feel like
No one else does
She has so much pain,
And some of it I cause.
She is always helping
Even if I think I can do it myself.
She shows me an example
That I want to follow.
As I get older I see the things that
She does and feelings of gratitude comes over me.
She is my Mother,
I love her, My Mother.
Author notes
I wrote this when I was talking to a friend. He really made me see that I am lucky to have the relationship with my mother. I can see others with their moms and I have a appritation for my mother. Even with all my mother as been through, and sometimes i feel that it is not fair. I know that it is just one of life's test. She has put up with way more than I have, and yet I see myself complain. I have a friend to tell me that I should be thankful that I have two parents who love me and want me to be happy. At the time I was so mad at them that I thought me friend was crazy, but now I know that my friend was right. I hope you like it.

A -very- strong ending to the piece Julia... it's very heart-warming to read. Do make sure you show a copy of the poem to your dear mother...
