Now that I am almost here there is so much to you I need to say
sadly I can not yet talk so mommy will speak for me this Father's Day...
I feel so blessed to know that you have loved me from my fetal start
mommy has told me the huge smile you had when for the first time you heard my beating heart
mommy also told me how you tried to hide your tears of joy when you got your first Ultrasound glimpse of little me
you may not know or believe it but I sensed your tears of joy as I floated in my fetal sea
mommy has also told me how you would rub me in her belly many a night to sleep
you may not know or believe it but I felt your love through my fetal waters deep
I know that you long to hold me for the first time in your loving fatherly arms
and I will not lie daddy, for I long to see your smile as I beguile you with my infant charms
I want you to know this Father's Day daddy that I too have loved you from my fetal start
if it was not for you and mommy's love, of your world, your life I would not be becoming a part
I know by all the things that mommy has told me daddy you will be the best dad any son could ever ask for
I only hope that when mommy says to you it's finally baby Dimitri time we don't cause you to pass out on the floor!

YES, I am four days from my due date! I am expecting a little boy who will be named Dimitri and will be my husbands first child. Granted, my husband has been a REAL father to my six year old since she was only six months old BUT this time it is different as it will be his creation too and he is so excited, overjoyed and oh my the melting pot of emotions and in honor of what I think baby Dimitri would say to his daddy if he was able to talk, so I send this poem out to my husband Mariano with EXTREME LOVE FOREVER AND ALWAYS from his future son!!!!

Very sweet tribute. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters and he can't be happier.
They are a spitting image of him.
I lost my father in October....so this fathers day is really hard for me.
I hope you and your husband are very happy and cherish the time you have together!!!
