I long to feel the joy of love's embrace.
That aching, I recall, so piercing sweet.
The taste of kisses, nothing can replace,
With ecstasy great wealth cannot compete.
I wish to give the essence of my soul
to one of such devoted loyalty.
The merging of two spirits, making whole
that part of life so empty, now, to me.
I yearn to be in love with all my heart;
Immersed in deepest passion, I implore.
These agonies, to tenderly impart,
A lover I might cherish and adore.
There is no dream more pressing, full of pain,
I know that I shall never love again.
