Beginning of The Girl Without Snow:
At home tonight, there is a girl,
Alone with noone in this world.
Her beauty is know across the land.
She's the center of most every man's demand.
Her eyes are brown like a forest tree,
her hair is a beautiful ebony.
Her skin is a mix of milk and honey.
Buy her love? You haven't the money.
This girl put the rainbows in the skies
With one tiny little glance of her eyes.
And casts the flowers on the ground
With every word her voice makes sound.
And every man would love a chance
With this beautiful girl if only for a dance.
To touch her just for a litle while
So they could pretend they're the reason she smiled.
But it is I who knows the truth
Of why her eyes glow of Italian Vermouth.
There is a man who seems to be
As equal in beauty as she.
And this man she doth love.
But in his eyes is a mourning dove.
You see this man doth love another
Like no one can love another.
So the girl is left to grieve
Over a man who's bound to leave.
What's sad is this, I offer her
A chance to be loved, so pure.
But still she only tells me, "No.
I will wait until I see the snow."
I say, "But M'lady, you cannot be
Serious of what you say to me.
There have not been snow in these parts
Since time had first begun to start."
"Kind sir, I mean just what I say,
I know he will come back some day.
My love for him will fade--never.
And so I have to wait forever."
Ending of The Girl Without Snow:
The beautiful girl with the ebony hair
Sat by the window in a rocking chair
Hoping she would feel the blow
Of the breeze that'd turn the rain to snow.
Hoping she would see her prince
Passing through the garden fence.
To come and take her in his arms,
giving all his promise and charm.
Out the window she only saw
Rain and air, not me at all.
Even though I'd stay all day,
Just to watch M'Lady fade away.
The time set in and still she sat.
I didn't know what she was staring at.
I only know she was hoping for
A chance to see him just once more..
Finally one day she stood
And walked to me like I dreamed she would.
But she only walked past me to lie
Upon the grassy knoll and die.
The ebony hair did fade to grey
And the light in her eyes did die away.
She had paid the ultimate price
For love she gave up-- her life
Little did my princess know,
Always did she have the snow.
It was deep inside her heart
Freezing out her chance to restart
Author notes
This was written about me. I have never seen snow, hence the name and I am currently fighting a losing battle.

This makes me think of Narcissus and Echo, sadly ending because of a fruitless search when love and life was right there outside the reflection. So many heartbeats wasted.

This is really sad. A beautiful maiden has won the hearts of every man who lays eyes on her, but she turns them all down for someone she can not have. She says she'll wait forever if she has to, because she can't live wih anbody else. But the snow never comes and that man never opens his arms to her, and she ends up dieing, not even giving a chance to the people who could have made her happy. I really liked this.

Sometimes, this is outstanding work. Even in death you have created beauty.......A very graceful write indeed.

I really liked this alot. It was sad, but very eloquent. Job well done. Don't worry-everything will be okay.
