Waiting

Missing image

How long
can you keep on
treading water
while Love waits
upon the shore?
There's nothing
I can say that
I haven't
said before;
You can't deny
the truth forever -
But you could
embrace it
now, instead
of every whim.
Make a move,
the choice
is clearly
(and so simply)
Sink or Swim.

Lol it's so true...it hurts to people when they really put off telling them how they feel and they must make a move either say hello or goodbye and if bye then they just need to close the door and move on if hello then go from there and find out all can be done
People really tend to play with each other on the love game and they shouldn't. One thing though is karma always bites back on the ones that do things like this.

Thank you for all your lovely comments, Sharron
"Isn't it strange, a turn of the page..."
We find echoes everywhere, like signs and beacons along our journey; saying, 'Yes, this is the Way'.

    I love the lyrical flow
I love the timeless grace in hues of golden and blue
I love the glow of the sunrays
On your shores of today and yesterday
I see I was sent to many shores
Where I found a love forevermore
Yet he waits in shores of hesitate
Sink or Swim a divine message of love
To unfold the love deep within

    Wait no more
As you walk in the out door
To a love nought found upon any shore
To a timeless place of grace
    To a time and place
    For all to see
Golden songs of love for humanity
    Somewhere beyond time and space
A place of love sent from the divine
A timeless place for us to shine
Shine on my star and remember
    Well,
    What now is heaven?
    Once was hell
Use your magic love to see
That you and I have polarity

    Namaste Blessed Be.. Gennelle

PS don't know the link, but this fits the cliche contest with 'sink or swim'. If i come across it again I will let you know.

Okay...but...sometimes people throw you in, and all you can do is sink...swimming isn't an option.

    Excellent

    Hi Gennelle:
Well, all I can say is that you boiled it down in the end to the simple truths, Sink or Swim. Very good and a very interesting write to lead to the finale. Thanks for sharing this write, I did enjoy it! Bill

Cliches are difficult things to work with unless you have the skill to do so successfully, and I would say that you did. Best wishes in all that you do!

    applaudable

Gennelle, this is brilliant-I love the image that has been so well chosen, leaving a calm serenity on the onlooker , and even more I have loved the poem-it flows and in it's wake takes the reader on a most enjoyable journey 'How long can you keep on treading water while Love waits upon the shore?'-very beautiful pleasant thought evoking lines-'Make a move, the choice is clearly (and so simply)Sink or Swim.'-I like the open optional conversational mode here- on the whole a most appealing read -Thank U for sharing it with us

    Gennelle,
You just get more beautiful with impressing me. We've had quite the flight huh? This is just so sweet a flowing read like a soft serenading waterfall. I get more and more excited when I see you flying. You are reaching great heights. Watch the trees!

Thank you, M I had not heard of Piet Hein, something I must definitely rectify to fully appreciate your generous compliment.

    Love it!

Thank you for pointing me here!
It's so unusual for you to write in rhyme, it stands out. This reminds me of the Grooks of Piet Hein (now deceased at a ripe age). The clear observation and simple rhyming statements are the points of similarity.
