if only i went over there

She sits there alone in class,
Wondering what she did.
Why she's the one they hate,
Why is she this kid?

She's done nothing wrong,
She feels like a total disgrace.
She's trying to hide,
Her tear-stained face.

If I go over there,
Will I end up like her too?
Or do I stay here?
What should I do?

I left her alone,
It will blow over by tomorrow.
The day comes when,
The teacher's eyes are full of sorrow,

I ask her what's wrong,
She lifts her crying head,
She utters these words...
"Your classmate is now dead".
