Inspiration took my hand that day
Ms. C showed me how to write with flow
Forever on by poetry's side I lay
Before then I never let emotions go
I never expected her to set free my life
And neither for a project to become a habit
She opened my life's floodgates in one write
Followed by other poems, pointless and tragic
Ms. C helped me to experience and know
How all is encompassed in poetry
She influenced, and helped me to grow
I was a butterfly set so very free

Do you know, poetry is the hardest form of literature to teach? There are so many different forms and styles that a teacher has a huge job of bringing a poet out of a person. Mrs C has taught you well. good luck, dave.
