Is It Okay To Be Myself?

I don't dye my hair blonde
And I dont like to cheer
I love to write
And I dont go to parties to drink beer

The only sport that I am in
Is the marvelous swim team
I'm not the athletic type
Know what I mean?

I don't hang out
On the weekends
I sit at home or work
I dont have an over abundance of friends

I'd like to say
That I want to be like them
But I'm a hell of a lot happier
Just being who I am

    This is great! I like the movement and momentum and I REALLY like how you can discuss this topic, a popular one and not so depressed about it! that rocks! You're happy who YOU are, whats wrong with that!

    Why live to please others? I mean how long are you going to see them any way? The only one guaranteed to with you your whole life is you, and you can even give that up if you sell yourslef short. Keep being true to yourself girl Great Poem!

    happiness is in the eye of the beholder, or something along those lines, i for got what i say about that.but its good! being happy with who you are is like the bestest. especially when you don't care about what people think, cept the imporant onces, such as me for example and ya know havin lots of friends isn't all that, its more chances to have people screw you over, tho its always good to have many but yeah you get what i'm sayin. stay true my home fry!

    very nice! i like it mainly cuz just you stand your ground and you'll be yourself.. even if its not what other people like! VERY GOOD!! i loved it! i related to it cuz its like my one poem.. ill be me and if ya dont like it.. sorry. *smiles* nice job!

    Keep being yourself. Never be someone you don't want to be just so you can be accepted by someone else. You'll hate the you that you become. Keep up the good work. This is a good write.
