Praise to Het-Hert
mother of happiness
maker of song
bless us with your beauty
let us make merry in your name
give us your joys
drink with us
share our beer with us
and accept our gifts
Praise to Het-hert
wife of Re
and protector of mankind
Author notes
#3 this is a prayer to Het-Hert, (or Hathor, if you prefer the more modern name), the Egyptian goddess of joy.

Authentic
Very nice, Tahuti
Simple, yet sounding so appropriately, authentically, natural...like you just swiped it off an ancient limestone wall!

thats cool, i'm a quarter egyptian. thats why your name appealed to me, i've been into all things ancient egypt since i was like 3. its a beautiful country, but there's so much poverty there, and its hard to drive down the street and have to turn and see a mother sitting there with four children, crying, looking up at the sky. quite the experience man. anyway im gonna keep readin some others of yours, much love.

I was an Egyptian in a past life. now I'm american, but i have embraced egyptian religion

you seem to really be into egypt mi amigo. are you egyptian? dood when i went there, i sat in front of the great pyramid, and smoked the sweetest hash with a goat herder, out of a tin can pressed down at the middle, with holes poked into it
it was real cool. this poem is nice, it reads as though you translated it from heiroglyphs, hehe. anyway nice job dood, keep on flickin them wrists.

What a lovely invocation and entreaty! It is simple and short, yet filled with reverence and respect. Very nicely done!
