This cruel world is a broken fable;
a wincing lie told babes at the cradle,
later to betray us as we do cross
to the world we now know, of pain and loss.
Now we know the bitterness of our plight,
trapped at birth, only now do we have sight
the bodies weakened and our souls are worn
to see our faces pulled, stretched, then are torn.
grim truth was hid there behind the facade
though we all do share in this darkened fate
blame must be found so we turn to debate
we serve the same to take away the pain
thick or thin better worse all the same
you are of these lie mumbling many
under your own spell you don’t find any,
and im still here, or no? Or would you know
you are about to lose me forever,
you care not, I tell myself no never
I am part of you this much is all so
but to stay as your ego I say no
yet it is true, you do not but care
watch as I vanish before your stare
Gone is my reason to stay, now fade away,

Wow! This one has a spellbounding trance-like feel to it. I loved it. This is one awesome piece. It's been a while since I have read something that has had this same effect on me. I am a very visual person, so I relate well to things that paint a picture in the mind...this is FANTASTIC!! Great job!
